1:1 Support for Pilates Teachers
Become the Pilates teacher you want to be.
Qualifying as a Pilates teacher is just the beginning.
Whether you are newly qualified, returning to teaching after a break, or have been teaching for years, there is always more to learn, refine and explore.
My 1:1 Pilates mentoring is designed to give you the support, guidance and honest feedback you need to develop your teaching, build your confidence and continue growing as a Pilates teacher.
Do you ever feel like…
- You’ve qualified, but still don’t feel completely confident teaching?
- You spend far too long planning your classes?
- You’re not sure how to progress or adapt exercises for different clients?
- You’d like to improve your cueing and communication?
- You’d like to study the Pilates method in greater detail?
- You’d love someone experienced to watch your teaching and give you honest, constructive feedback?
- You understand the exercises, but want to develop a deeper understanding of why you’re teaching them?
- You’ve been teaching for a while but feel like you’ve reached a point where you want to develop further?
- You’re considering your next qualification or CPD but aren’t sure what would be right for you?
- You simply want someone knowledgeable to bounce ideas around with?
If any of these sound familiar, mentoring could be exactly what you need.
How can I support you?
Every mentoring session is completely individual and focused on what you need.
We can work together on areas such as:
Teaching & Cueing
Develop clearer, more effective verbal, visual and tactile cues and learn how to communicate movement in a way your clients can understand.
Class Planning & Programming
Work through your class structure, exercise choices, sequencing, progressions and regressions to help you create purposeful, well-balanced sessions.
Movement & Repertoire
Develop your understanding of the Pilates repertoire and become more confident in analysing movement, recognising compensations and understanding the why behind an exercise.
Client Adaptation
Explore how you can adapt your teaching for different bodies, abilities and individual needs, while maintaining the intention of the exercise.
Teaching Feedback
Bring a class plan, teaching video or a particular section of your teaching and we can work through it together — identifying your strengths and the areas that could be developed further.
Building Confidence
Sometimes you don’t need another qualification. You just need someone experienced to talk things through with.
Mentoring gives you a safe, supportive space to ask questions, explore ideas and work through the things you’re finding challenging.
Developing Your Career
Whether you’re thinking about teaching in a studio, becoming self-employed, developing your own classes, expanding your services or simply deciding what you’d like to do next, we can explore the options available to you.
Continuing Your Learning
Not sure what to study next? We can look at your current skills, experience and goals and help you identify areas for further development and CPD.
What happens in a mentoring session?
Each session is tailored completely around you and your goals.
Before your session, you can let me know what you’d like to work on. You can also bring along a class plan, questions, exercises you’re struggling with or a recording of your teaching if you’d like specific feedback.
During our session, we’ll work through your chosen areas together and I’ll give you practical, constructive feedback and ideas that you can take straight into your teaching.
1:1 mentoring sessions are 50 minutes and available online or in person.
My Approach
I’ve been teaching in the fitness industry for over 15 years, with Pilates becoming a huge part of my own teaching journey and professional development.
My approach to mentoring is supportive, practical and honest.
I don’t believe that there is one perfect way to teach Pilates. I want to help you understand the method, develop your teaching eye and build the confidence to make informed decisions for yourself and your clients.
You can ask questions, bring things you’re unsure about, challenge ideas and explore different approaches without judgement.
My role is to help you identify what you’re already doing well, where you could develop and what practical steps you can take next.
Ultimately, I want you to leave each session feeling clearer, more confident and excited about your teaching.

And you don’t have to be struggling to benefit from mentoring.
Sometimes the best time to work with a mentor is when things are going well and you’re ready to take the next step.
You might simply want to refine your teaching, challenge your thinking, explore the repertoire in more depth or have someone experienced to bounce ideas around with.
Teaching Review
Want someone to look at your teaching?
One of the most useful ways to develop as a teacher is to have someone experienced watch you teach.
You can send me a recording of your teaching session and we’ll review it together during your mentoring session.
We can look at:
- Your teaching presence
- Cueing and communication
- Exercise explanations
- Sequencing and transitions
- Exercise selection
- Progressions and regressions
- Client positioning and observation
- Use of props and equipment
- Your ability to observe and respond to movement
- Areas of strength
- Areas for further development
The aim isn’t to pick your teaching apart.
It’s about helping you recognise what you’re already doing well and giving you clear, constructive ideas to help you become even more effective.
You don’t have to do this on your own.
Teaching Pilates can be incredibly rewarding, but it can also feel overwhelming at times.
There will always be questions, challenging clients, new exercises to understand and areas of your teaching that you’d like to improve.
Having someone experienced to talk to can make such a difference.
Whether you need help with something specific or simply want someone in your corner as you continue to grow, I’d love to support you.
